Weird. A pity. I'm glad our most local Albertsons is not closing.

The one in downtown San Jose closed in February. I managed to get there when everything was 75% off, but there wasn't much left.

I'm kinda annoyed that although the store was supposed to reopen in May as a Super Mercado Mexico, it hasn't. It'd be nice to have somewhere other than Zanotto's and the Thai market to buy food.

Huh, that does kind of suck. I did notice a distinct lack of supermarkets available in downtown San Jose (the closest thing being one solitary Walgreens somewhere just North of downtown) when looking for one a few weeks ago.

Albertsons opened a brand new store about 2 years ago not 4 blocks from my house in the Richmond district of SF- and now it's closing too :(
