So, I bit the bullet and did something I've thought of doing a number of times over the years, in particular again recently since I get to try the latest generation, and bought these. They are nice. They're most decidedly not cheap, but they sound fantastic (I know some people are not big fans of the brand, but ... well, I don't detect any of the things people claim against them), and, well, ... quiet! Wonderful quiet!
